Multiple barcodes per page can be read by ZIP-scan2xls.
Data Matrix 2D type barcodes are highly recommended if a bar code is needed. They are a very durable design which withstands duplication and physical abuse remarkably well.
ZIP-scan has also created the DataMatrixPrint software which will merge variable data bar codes into designated spots on an existing PDF along with fill-in of text data at other locations on the PDF existing form.
The form design enables scanners to create a simple 200 dpi, B&W, standard TIFF image that can be interpreted by the ZIP-scan2xls OMR Software.
